School Lunches

Our school lunch program has long been the foundation of our catering services. The challenge is to balance the needs of the school, the nutritionist, the parent and, most of all, the student. We believe we do a consistently good job and have the testimonials to prove it.When available, local produce, fruits, cheeses and ingredients are used. We at Coventry Catering understand that all parents’ desire fresh, nutritious lunches for their children, and it is our desire that your child receive that very care and concern from our lunch program.We strive to be innovative in a fast paced and changing environment, yet still retain the values that have been proven to work over time.This year we are making available a hot meal packaged and delivered for immediate enjoyment, a program that can be inaugurated at any time of year. I am writing as a reference for Lynn Caple. I am the Food Service Coordinator for the Plainfield Elementary School (PES). I have been in this position since August 2003.

Coventry Catering supplies the hot lunches for our lunch program for the PES. They have been providing our lunches for the past seven years.Coventry Catering is always interested in adding and improving items on our lunch menu. They provide 550 to 650 lunches per week. Coventry Catering delivers our lunches every day and has no problem on days we have early dismissal, which requires our lunch to be ready 30 minutes earlier than required.Lynn is friendly, courteous and is open to new suggestions or ideas. Lynn’s assistant Susan, is a talented cook. Susan has added many new ideas to our hot lunch program, such as homemade lasagna roll ups.
